Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Android app Pixel Joy: Pixel Art Coloring (vn.fighttech.pixeljoy,
“Pixel Joy” or “the app”) and no other app. It is published by FightTech VN, the developer
named on the app's Google Play listing (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at
trunghieu4121993@gmail.com.
In short: there is no account and no sign-up. Your coloring progress stays on your phone. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and the app uses Google Firebase to count anonymous usage, report crashes, deliver optional notifications and update settings remotely. Purchases go through Google Play. We do not sell your personal data.
1. What we do not collect
We do not ask for, and the app does not collect, your name, e-mail address, phone number, contacts, precise (GPS) location, photos or files (a photo you choose to convert stays on your phone, see section 2). There is no user account and no cloud save: we do not run a server that stores your pictures or progress.
2. What stays on your device
Your pictures, coloring progress, finished works, hint balance, streak, awards and settings are stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. The app also creates a random install ID there (a random code not linked to your name, Google account or any personal details) so that anonymous statistics from one install can be grouped together.
If you have turned on Android's own backup, Android may include this local data in your device backup, which Google stores under your Google account so it can be restored to a new phone. That backup is controlled by you and by Google; we cannot access it. A restored install receives a new random install ID.
Your own photos. If you choose to turn a photo into a pixel picture, Android's photo picker gives the app only the one photo you pick. It is converted into a pixel picture on your phone and only that picture is kept, in the app's private storage. The photo is never uploaded.
Play together. When you host or join a Play together room, the app announces itself on your Wi-Fi network so another phone there can find it, and the two phones exchange the picture you are coloring and the squares you fill, directly over that network. The name shown to the other player is the one you type, stored on your phone. Nothing from a room is sent to us or to any server.
3. Data collected automatically and who processes it
| Data | Why | Processed by |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID, IP address and the approximate location (country or city) derived from it, device model, operating system and version, language, screen size, app name and version, and your interactions with ads (impressions, clicks, rewarded videos watched) | Showing ads, choosing personalised or non-personalised ads according to your choices, measuring ads, preventing fraud and abuse | Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) |
| Usage events (for example: screen opened, picture started or finished, hint used, purchase started), the random install ID, the Firebase app instance ID, the Advertising ID where available, device model, OS version, language, app version and approximate location derived from the IP address | Understanding which features are used so we can improve the app (analytics) | Google Firebase Analytics |
| Crash and error reports: stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, free memory and disk, the screen you were on, the random install ID and a Crashlytics installation ID | Finding and fixing crashes and bugs | Google Firebase Crashlytics |
| A push token (an ID for this app install issued by Firebase) and, while new collection alerts are on, the alert topic for your content region | Delivering optional notifications about new pictures | Google Firebase Cloud Messaging |
| Firebase installation ID, app version, device language and country | Fetching remote settings and content updates (for example in-app news and seasonal collections) without releasing a new version, and reading the current community event (a public, read-only document) | Google Firebase Remote Config and Cloud Firestore |
| Purchase tokens, product IDs, purchase and subscription status | Delivering, checking and restoring Premium | Google Play Billing |
All of this data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
4. Ads and your consent choices
The free version of Pixel Joy shows ads served by Google AdMob, for example a banner on some screens, an occasional full-screen ad between pictures, and an optional rewarded video you can choose to watch to earn hints. Pixel Joy Premium removes ads.
- Personalised ads use your Advertising ID and information about your app activity to show ads that are more relevant to you. Non-personalised ads are chosen from contextual information such as the app you are using and your approximate location, not from your past behaviour. Google may still use the data in section 3 to deliver, measure and protect non-personalised ads, including frequency capping and fraud prevention.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: when you first open the app, Google's consent message (the Google User Messaging Platform) asks whether you agree to personalised ads and related data use. You can accept, reject or manage individual choices, and the app follows them.
- Change your mind at any time: open More › Privacy options in the app (shown wherever the consent message applies) to see the message again and update your choices. Uninstalling the app also clears them.
- Advertising ID: you can reset or delete it in Android Settings › Privacy › Ads (the wording varies by phone). After deletion, apps receive no Advertising ID and ads are not personalised with it.
Google processes ad data as described in its How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services page and in How Google uses cookies in advertising. You can manage ad personalisation for your Google account at My Ad Center.
5. Notifications
Notifications are optional and off until you turn them on in More. New collection alerts use Firebase Cloud Messaging as described above. The daily reminder is a local alarm set on your phone; no data is sent for it. On Android 13 and later the app asks for notification permission only when you switch one of these on. You can turn them off in More or in Android Settings › Apps › Pixel Joy › Notifications.
6. Purchases
Pixel Joy Premium subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are sold and processed by Google Play. Google handles your payment method; we never receive or see your card or bank details. We receive only a purchase token, the product ID and the purchase or subscription status, which the app uses to switch Premium on and to restore it. Google's handling of payment data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Permissions
- Internet and network state — ads, purchases, statistics, crash reports, notifications and content updates. Coloring pictures already on your phone works offline.
- Advertising ID — used by AdMob and Firebase as described above.
- Notifications (Android 13+) — asked only when you turn on a reminder or alerts.
- Run at startup — re-sets your daily reminder after the phone restarts, if you turned it on.
- Wi-Fi multicast — lets a nearby phone on the same Wi-Fi find your Play together room.
- Vibrate — a small haptic tick when you fill a square. You can switch it off in More.
- Storage (Android 9 and lower only) — to save a finished picture to your gallery when you tap Save.
8. Sharing and selling
- We do not sell your personal data.
- The data in section 3 is processed by Google as our service provider (Firebase, Google Play) and, for advertising, by Google AdMob. When you consent to personalised ads, AdMob may use ad data for advertising purposes as described in Google's policies. We do not share data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
- When you share a finished picture, you choose where it goes through Android's share sheet; we do not receive a copy.
9. How long data is kept
- On your phone: until you delete it in the app, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
- Firebase Analytics: event data tied to an install is kept for up to 14 months, then deleted.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports and their identifiers are kept for 90 days.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: a push token stops working when you uninstall the app, and unused tokens expire.
- AdMob and Google Play: kept by Google under its own retention rules, described in the Google Privacy Policy and Privacy and Security in Firebase.
10. Your choices and deleting your data
- Delete everything on the phone: uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android Settings › Apps › Pixel Joy › Storage. This removes your progress, settings and the random install ID. It does not cancel a subscription.
- Delete analytics and crash data: e-mail trunghieu4121993@gmail.com with the subject “Pixel Joy data deletion”, your phone model and the approximate date you installed the app. We will delete the matching data within 30 days and confirm by e-mail. Because there is no account, we cannot link data to you by name or e-mail.
- Ads: change consent in More › Privacy options, and reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings.
- Notifications: switch them off in More or in Android Settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example in the EEA, UK or some US states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Write to us and we will help; you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Children
Pixel Joy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and data about them was collected, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
Google may process the data described here on servers in the United States and other countries. Google applies safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for transfers out of the EEA and UK.
13. Google policies
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
- Privacy and Security in Firebase
- How Google uses cookies in advertising
- Google Play Terms of Service
14. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the app's data practices change, and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also mention it in the app's release notes.
